Balloons

Balloons are flexible bags that can be inflated with gas, such as helium, hydrogen, nitrous oxide, oxygen, or air. Modern day balloons are made from materials such as rubber, latex, polychloroprene, or a nylon fabric, and can come in many colors. Some early balloons were made of dried animal bladders, such as the pig bladder. Some balloons are used for decorative purposes, while others are used for practical purposes such as meteorology, medical treatment, military defense, or transportation. A balloon's properties, including its low density and low cost, have led to a wide range of applications. The rubber balloon was invented by Michael Faraday in 1824, during experiments with various gases.

In Medias

Some of the evil clown uses balloons as weapons.

Example

  • Adam MacIntyre - If Frank is far away from Adam, he will start to blow a gas–filled balloon containing an irritant gas. The inflated balloon will bounce slowly towards Frank. If it is popped near Frank or Adam by touching it, shooting it or throwing something at it, it will cause anyone in the vicinity (except for the zombies) to cough violently and be unable to attack for several seconds. In this state, Adam is unable to attack or defend himself from attacks. He can be shot while blowing up his balloon.
  • Pennywise - He carries balloons often, even to attract kids. He spilled a bunch of balloons to the people in the library where they popped in their faces and splash blood all over them, even Richard Tozier. He made a water balloon filled with blood and frighten Beverly Marsh.
  • Killer Klowns - The Klowns uses a pistol called "The Balloon Ray Guns" to capture people and trap the inside thick, strong, unbreakable balloons. Its possible that once captured they were going to turn women into female klowns. The klowns creates Bloodhound with balloons and to hunt down humans and animals, like security guards using hounds to hunt down escaping prisoners.
  • Joker - He sometimes uses the balloons, filled with gas, to make his victims laugh to death. Small groups of his balloons are scattered around Arkham City. They are part of a Riddler challenge and encompass bits of the Industrial District and the Amusement Mile. He used the parade balloons to released the Smylex gas to kill the people of Gotham City. Batman prevented further casualties by dragging away the balloons in the Batwing and releasing them into the sky, much to the Joker's outrage.
